Write to the bench

One address, read by one person. Corrections get priority over everything else, because a wrong count on a public page is the worst thing this site can do.

Reporting a count

This is the message I most want to receive. Send the build number, the part, the round, the number you got and the number the table says. If you can, say which yarn and hook you used, because a count that only goes wrong in one fibre usually means a shaping instruction reads two ways rather than that the arithmetic is broken.

Corrections are worked again on the bench before the page changes. If you are right, the build steps to the next mk and the snag list explains what moved. That is the whole process and it usually takes a few days, because the animal has to be made again.

Asking about a build

Ask. If the answer is useful to more than one person it usually ends up in the queries at the foot of that build, without your name on it.

The questions I cannot answer well are the ones about substituting a yarn I have never used. I can tell you what a change of weight does to the finished size on the builds here, but I will not guess at a brand I have not had on the hook.

Requests, and what I make next

Requests are welcome and I keep a list. What gets made next is usually whichever shape I have not solved yet rather than whichever animal was asked for most, so a request is a suggestion and not a queue position.

I do not take commissions and I do not write patterns to order.

Using a build commercially

The short version: sell what you make, keep the pattern to yourself. The full version is on the pattern use page and it is four short paragraphs, not a licence.

The only address

hello@amigurumiaddict.com

Read by one person, usually within a few days. There is no contact form on this site because a form would need a spam service and a spam service would need a cookie.

Join the build log

One message when a build is issued

Build number, level, hook, link. Nothing else, and never more than one message for one build.

Unsubscribe from any message. The address is kept for the log and is not passed to anyone.
